Al Ittihad have made a bid of €5m a year to sign free-agent Sulley Muntari.

The 30-year-old was released from his AC Milan last month, despite still having a year to run on his deal.

However, he may not be a free agent for long, as latest reports indicate that Saudi Arabian club, Ittihad, are keen on the 30-year-old midfielder.

The Ghana international has been linked to a move to Turkish club Besiktas but Ittihad look set to hijack this deal with their extraordinary offer.

Muntari had joined the club on loan from city rivals Inter Milan in January 2012 with his performance earning him a permanent deal but the struggles of the past season led to a decision to leave him out of the plans for the 2015/16 season.
