Black Stars captain sues Montie FM's presenter and Akua Donkor

Black Stars captain and Shanghai SIPG player Asamoah Gyan sues Montie FM's presenter Mugabe and Akua Donkor over defamatory comment.

The duo last month on Montie FM’s afternoon political show alleged that Gyan is funding the biggest opposition political party in Ghana, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) as he has imported arms and machetes to support the party ahead of the upcoming election in November.

But the Shanghai SIPG hit-man came out to vehemently deny that report and threatened to sue the duo.

On Monday, July 4, , Gyan’s lawyer Kissi Adjabeng secured a writ of summons at the Accra High Court against Salifu Mase and Akua Donkor. They have eight days to respond after service of the writ.
