The Porcupine Warriors prior to the game were in the news for wrong reasons after they asked their head coach David Duncan to step aside due to the club’s unimpressive performances in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

Assistant coach Michael Osei was told to step in as acting head coach and his first game guided Kotoko to rally from a goal down to beat the Dansoman based club by three goals to one.

“It was all about determination. The players have the potential and they went into the game with confidence. It all depends on us and we were committed. They have done well and I commend them,” Osei said after the game.

“We hope this performance continues, apart from we winning the game we played some good football as well.

“We were discipline on the day and I am happy for the win, I just hope we keep our focus and win our subsequent games us well.

“For me I think this win will boost our confidence in the remaining matches so I am hoping for the best,” he added.
