Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres is dreaming of a Champions League medal with his boyhood team that he says would represent the biggest achievement of his career.

Torres is enjoying his most prolific season in the league since the 2010-11 season, when he left Liverpool for Chelsea in a £50million move.

Diego Simeone's side moved a step closer to European glory with Wednesday's 1-0 semi-final first-leg win over Bayern Munich.

And 32 year-old told Radio Marca: "Winning the Champions League is the only thing left for me to live here. Nothing would be comparable, not even the league.

"Bayern is still the favourite, but we are ready to compete against anyone."

Atletico lost the final two years to city rivals Real Madrid when Torres was coming towards the end of his Chelsea career.

When asked about that final, he added: "I know nothing of what happened two years ago. I'd rather not talk about it because I was not part of it.

"If you want to know more, you better call Saul."
