Auntie Linda Foundation Spreads Holiday Cheer to 20 Vulnerable Children

Christmas is a season of love, generosity, and renewed hope—and on Christmas Eve, Wednesday 24th December 2025, Auntie Linda Foundation lived out these values in the most heartfelt way. For the third consecutive year, the foundation, through its flagship “Support the Vulnerable” initiative, brought warmth, dignity, and joy to 20 vulnerable children from underprivileged backgrounds.

In a simple yet deeply moving ceremony, the children received essential food items including bags of rice, cooking oil, assorted biscuits, drinks, tin fish, and other household necessities. Though modest in form, the gesture carried immense meaning—ensuring that these children and their caregivers could celebrate Christmas with food on the table and smiles on their faces.

The programme opened with a warm welcome from the Director of Auntie Linda Foundation, Ms. Linda Ewoenam Donkor, who expressed gratitude to the children and their caregivers for being part of the celebration. Speaking with visible emotion, she said:

“Seeing you all here, healthy and full of hope, makes every effort worthwhile. This is why we do what we do—because every child deserves love, care, and a future filled with possibilities.”

Her words reaffirmed the foundation’s unwavering commitment to nurturing and protecting the next generation, especially those most at risk of being left behind.

The Deputy Director, Ms. Gifty Millicent Okutu, followed with an encouraging message to caregivers, reminding them of the critical role they play in shaping the lives of these children. She urged them to care for the beneficiaries “as your own” and shared hopeful news that the foundation plans to award scholarships to the children once additional support and funding are secured. The announcement was met with applause, gratitude, and renewed optimism.

As festive music played softly in the background, volunteers distributed the gift parcels. Laughter filled the air as children eagerly unpacked their items, assisted by volunteers who shared kind words, stories, and moments that truly captured the spirit of Christmas—moments that will soon be shared on the foundation’s social media platforms.

One caregiver, speaking during the vote of thanks, moved many to tears as she prayed for the foundation. She shared that without Auntie Linda Foundation’s support, this Christmas would have been filled with tears for herself and the six-year-old orphan under her care.

As the event drew to a close, the message was clear: hope is alive when compassion is shared.
