Mushfiqur began to struggle in the 16th over of Bangladesh's innings in Khulna as cramp hampered his running between the wickets.

After pulling up midway through a quickly run two, the 28-year-old finished the over with another single but that was the end of his game as he retired hurt on 24.

"Mushfiqur has strained his right hamstring while batting," said Bayjedul Islam Khan, the team physio.

"He will undergo a scan in Dhaka tomorrow [Monday]. Usually it takes two to three weeks to recover from such injuries.

"However, we will be able to assess his condition better after receiving the scan report."

Bangladesh did not miss Mushfiqur as they cruised to another win over Zimbabwe, their 167-3 too big of a target as the tourists finished their 20 overs 125-8 – 42 runs short.

Mushfiqur is one of four changes to Bangladesh's squad for the remaining matches in the series with Shuvgata Hom, Al-Amin Hossain and Mustafizur Rahman all rested to give Taskin Ahmed, Mosaddek Hossain, Mohammad Shahid and Muktar Ali the chance to impress.
