Teye Partey with Ghanaian parents and born in Ghana has been in fantastic form for Atletico Madrid this season and even featured as a substitute in both the first and the 2nd legs of their UEFA Champions League triumph over Barcelona.

His play has attracted the attention of most Ghanaians, making the media to put pressure on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to complete all paper works to enable him settle on Ghana

GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi has indicated that Partey is on Avram Grant’s radar and will even meet him in Madrid before he returns from his tour of Europe to scout on Ghanaian players abroad.

“Avram Grant will travel to Madrid to meet Thomas Teye Partey. Players like Ofosu, Inaki Williams are also on Grant’s plans and we have maintained good relationship with these players by contacting them from time to time,” he told Happy FM.
