Brian Stuard leads weather-hit Zurich Classic

As has been the case in New Orleans this week, another day's play was lost as inclement weather forced third-round action to be suspended on Saturday.

No player completed more than five holes in the third round, with the possibility of a Monday finish now looming large.

Stuard did not make a start to his third round but the American did complete his second, playing just six holes for a 68 to reach 12 under at TPC Louisiana.

Seeking his first PGA Tour title, Stuard is clear of overnight leaders Jamie Lovemark and Jhonattan Vegas, who completed their second rounds on Friday and did not hit a shot on Saturday.

Lovemark and Vegas' lack of action came at a welcome time after the pair played 27 and 31 holes respectively 24 hours earlier.

Stuard, Lovemark and Vegas will tee-off early on Sunday, along with Harold Varner III, Daniel Berger, An Byeong-hun, Charles Howell III, Chad Collins and Patrick Rodgers, who are all level at eight under through 36 holes.

World number one Jason Day is among a dozen players to be five shots off the pace.

The Australian, who did not tee off on Saturday, carded a second-round 68 after completing his remaining eight holes.
