Bubba Watson continues Masters struggles in Round 3

Bubba Watson made the cut by the skin of his teeth on Friday, but was unable to make a move in round three as his poor tournament continued.

Bubba Watson was a name on top of almost everyone's favourites list heading into this year's Masters, but his miserable tournament continued with a round of 76 on Saturday.

The champion at Augusta in 2012 and 2014, Watson only just made the cut on Friday and began the third round 57th and last in the field at six over.

And as swirling winds continued to make scoring difficult, the powerful left-hander shot 76 in the company of a marker to slump to 10 over for the tournament - 14 shots adrift of halfway leader Jordan Spieth.

Watson has now recorded five consecutive over-par rounds at Augusta, having fallen away badly after reaching three under through eight holes on Thursday.

Nobody broke par at Augusta on Friday and only seven players were in red figures for the tournament when round three got under way.

However, it has still been a shock to see Watson - touted as a prime contender by Adam Scott in the lead-up to the event - struggle so badly on a course seemingly tailor-made for his skill set.
