Black Stars midfielder Mubarak Wakaso and his younger brother Alhassan Wakaso couldnt help their sides Granada and and FC Lorient from escaping relegation.
Wakoso started the season with Granada and his impact in the team was felt in midfield, yet they were condemned to relegation with two games to end the season.
Alhassan Wakaso on the other hand joined the French Ligue 1 outfit in the middle of the season from Portuguese giant Rio Ave to boost their bid to avoid relegation.
Alhassan, however, did his bit but that was enough to save Lorient who were rocked bottom of the French Ligue 1 table all season long.
The two brother last year were both invited to the Black Stars by Avram Grant to join the long list of brothers who played in the same Black Stars team.
Wakaso who has been part of the Black Stars since late 2013 was named in the final 23-man squad of the Black Stars for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nation, but Alhassan Wakaso has since not been handed another call-up, after his debut call-up.
