Willey was ruled out of the five-match series against Pakistan after the left-arm seamer was struck on the left hand when Mark Stoneman drilled a straight drive back at him during Yorkshire's T20 blast semi-final defeat to Durham on Saturday.

The 26-year-old underwent an X-ray on Sunday that did not clear him of a significant injury and underwent a further scan before visiting a consultant on Monday.

Willey will miss the opening game of the series in Southampton on Wednesday, but has been cleared to report for international duty the following day.
