Following the release of her  latest compilation ‘House Of Cuppy II’ Florence Ifeoluwa Otedola aka DJ Cuppy has launched an 8 city continent-wide tour across Africa. Titled ‘Cuppy Takes  Africa’, the ambitious tour which kicked off in Lagos, on August 1, will run through eight countries with a final stop in South Africa.

DJ Caise, DJ Obi, DJ Olu, Legendary Beatz, Young John, Pheelz, Studio Magic, Spellz, and Leriq were all on hand to make the event a memorable one.

Producers who got the nod to display their craft, were amazing in their live music creation, as Studio Magic took guests on a Hip-hop run which had a number of hit songs remixed with infusions from experimental beat patterns and instrumentation.

Aristokrat Records in-house producer, LeriQ, was one of the bright lights of the night. He played a set which had some of his hit songs with Burna Boy including the great ‘Amorawa’. His major personal highlight was the performance of his most recent single, ‘Say you love me’, with Wizkid.

DJ Caise ran the show with an unforgettable set which further highlighted the quality of his talent. He had the entire crowd feeding off his energy and music, as back to back hits from all genre, and exquisite mixing, had the audience screaming his name.

Another moment to savour was given by YBNL’s Young John who put his impressive catalogue of hit songs to good use, and rounded off by bringing in the talented Lil Kesh.

Cuppy finally took over the stage. She was bright, colourful and all smiles as she began an orchestrated performance with dancers, and a display of lights. Her father, the oil mogul, Femi Otedola, was in the crowd with Africa’s wealthiest man, Aliko Dangote, who must have cracked a proud smile watching one of the crowning moments of his daughter’s career.

Up next for Cuppy and her colourful train is Senegal, then Ghana, on to Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, and finally, South Africa.

Lagos was a blast. Cuppy made sure of that.
