Drug Addict And HIV Positive Vendor Rapes Lover’s Two Daughters

An Isoko Magistrates Court sitting in Oleh, Delta State, has remanded a 29-year-old newspaper vendor in prison custody for allegedly raping two sisters of his lover.

The accused, known as Tom Girih, is reported to have been a newspaper vendor in the last five years and was charged with rape punishable under section 284 of the penal code.

According to Afikpochictimes.com, the prosecutor, Sgt. Stanley Omosigho, had told the court that the relation of the victims reported the matter to the divisional police station in the area early this month.

He disclosed that the victims, aged 9 and 10, respectively could not walk after the assault.

He said: “They took the girls to the hospital for treatment and the doctor discovered that someone forcefully had sex with them. Upon interrogation, the victim said the accused who had been their mother’s lover had sex with them".

After medical examination, reports prove that the man is on drugs and apparently HIV positive.

The sitting was adjourned till December 1, 2014.
