Gov't declares March 25 and 28 public holidays

Government has declared Friday 25th and Monday 28th of March as statutory public holidays to mark this year’s Easter festivities.

A statement signed by Interior Minister, Prosper Bani, on Wednesday, said all Ghanaians should thus observe the days as such.

Easter, which is celebrated by Christians, is used to observe the crucifixion, death and resurrection of the savior Jesus Christ.
