In 2012, Messers Sonitra was contracted to construct the road but abandoned the project in 2015 for none payment of certificates since the start of the project.

According to the chief, the road is affecting the few businesses within community.

“We don’t have any particular business in our community, but the little that my people are doing, dust has taking over” he told Kwahu based Agoo FM.

He maintained that there was no potholes on the Atibie town section of Nkwakwa-Atibie road and expressed dissatisfaction why the contractor did not complete the spoilt portion of the road before tackling the Atibie town section.
