Anidi, who allegedly graduated from a university in Cotonou in 2013, was arrested around 11am on Saturday after a gun battle between his gang and police officers from the Ogui Division at Ozalla, in Nkanu West LGA of the state.

The gang members were fleeing after they snatched a Honda Pilot car, with registration number AAA 598 CH, from the owner at gunpoint, Punch reports.

They headed towards Enugu metropolis but were chased down by policemen who had been alerted by the victim.

A gun battle ensued at Presidential Road area after which Anidi was arrested while other gang members escaped.
