Ghanaian media personality and publicist Edward Aganesh has been appointed as the new publicist for celebrated Ghanaian musician Sista Afia.
The appointment sees Aganesh taking charge of the artiste’s publicity and media relations as Sista Afia continues to strengthen her presence in Ghana’s competitive music and entertainment industry.
Aganesh is a versatile media and entertainment professional with experience spanning public relations, blogging, television, acting, event hosting and film production. His current professional profile identifies him as a PR and media practitioner and the publicist for Sista Afia.
Over the years, Aganesh has been involved in different areas of Ghana’s creative industry. He has worked as a TV presenter, blogger, actor and master of ceremonies, while also participating in film production. He has been associated with B.O Productions and previously worked as a props and set designer.
His experience also extends to commercial modelling. Interestingly, his professional background includes training and work as a registered nurse, highlighting the diverse career path he has pursued alongside his activities in entertainment and media.
Aganesh has been vocal about the importance of strategic publicity in the success of artistes. In August 2025, he emphasised that effective media promotion can help artistes increase their visibility, strengthen their personal brands, engage audiences and create opportunities for industry recognition and financial growth.
He has also encouraged artistes to take advantage of the evolving digital media landscape, particularly social media influencers, trends and viral content. According to him, platforms such as TikTok and Snapchat can play an important role in helping artistes reach new audiences and promote their music.
With his new role on Sista Afia’s team, Aganesh is expected to utilise his media and publicity experience to enhance the artiste’s visibility, coordinate media engagements and strengthen the relationship between Sista Afia and the media.
Sista Afia has carved a niche for herself as one of Ghana’s notable female musicians, and the addition of Aganesh to her team is expected to bring a strategic publicity dimension to her music, brand and upcoming projects.
The appointment marks another step in Edward Aganesh’s growing involvement in Ghana’s entertainment industry as he takes on the responsibility of leading publicity and media relations for one of the country’s recognised female music acts.
