The presidential nominee of the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP), Dr Papa Kwesi Ndoum, has told the Trades Union Congress (TUC) that he intends to create thousands of jobs for the many unemployed youths when voted into power on December 7.

My “party when voted, will create jobs for the teeming unemployed youth scattered across the country,” he said in an address to the leadership of the TUC.

He added: "We are talking from what we have done in the various sectors of the economy in some communities across Ghana, which we know and believe it will work for the whole country."

On Monday, the Supreme Court will rule on whether a high court ruling in favour of Dr Ndoum should hold or not.

The ruling will affect all other suit filed against the Electoral Commission (EC) by the remaining other disqualified presidential nominees.

Dr Ndoum and 11 other presidential candidates were disqualified for multiple errors on their forms by the EC.

But an Accra high court quashed the EC's decision, saying Dr Ndoum and Hassan Ayariga should be given the opportunity to rectify the errors.

Other presidential nominees are also in court challenging the EC's decision.
