Arsenal trash Lyon 6-0 (video)

Arsenal kicked off their annual pre-season tournament- Emirate Cup- by trashing Ligue 1 runners up Lyon by 6-0.

The Gunners scored four goals in nine dizzying first-half minutes - from Olivier Giroud, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Alex Iwobi and Aaron Ramsey.

Mesut Ozil, who had set-up two of those four goals, claimed one of his own in the second half before Santi Cazorla hit a free-kick underneath a leaping Lyon wall to complete the rout.

In the other game of the Emirate Cup, Villarreal defeated Wolfsburg by two goals to one.

Lyon will face Villarreal later today at  at 2pm, before the Gunners bring the tournament to a close against Wolfsburg.
