The Association of Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have expressed concern about activities of ‘black marketers’ who have been smuggling fuel into Ghana.

Consequently, the association has given a 48-hour ultimatum to government, to bring the activities of the black marketers to a halt.

At a press conference in Accra, the Industry coordinator of the association, Mr Kwaku Agyeman Duah said there would be a revenue loss of about Gh¢1billion this year if the activities of 'black marketers' were allowed to go on.
The association expressed concern about the negative impact on their business as a result of smuggling.

They said apart from the fact that the black marketers were not paying taxes, their businesses were suffering with some of them collapsing.
