Steven Finn will return to the England side for the third Test against Pakistan at Edgbaston, with the injured Ben Stokes making way.

The Middlesex bowler missed the second Test, which England won by 330 runs, but a calf injury for Stokes sees Finn come back into the side.

England have never lost a Test match against Pakistan at the Birmingham ground and captain Alastair Cook believes Finn's presence will help them extend that record.

"Physically he's sorted out and his pace is back up, which is when Steven Finn's at his best," Cook told BBC Radio 5 live.

"We're backing a guy who hasn't had the best summer, but a couple of things have changed over the last few weeks.
