England win the Six Nations

England have won the Six Nations for the first time since 2011 after Scotland beat France 29-18??on Sunday.

Eddie Jones' side all but secured the championship by holding on to defeat Wales 25-21 at Twickenham on Saturday -??a victory that also??secured England the Triple Crown.??

The win meant France had to beat Scotland??at Murrayfield and overturn a big points difference against England next weekend if they harboured any hopes of ending their own drought, having last lifted the trophy in 2010.

But defeat for Guy Noves' men means??they can no longer catch England, who are seeking to complete their first Grand Slam since 2003 when they went on to win the Rugby World Cup.

It marks an impressive start for head coach Jones, who was left to pick up the pieces of a desperately disappointing World Cup campaign in which England were knocked out at??the group stage.

That disappointment signalled the end of Stuart Lancaster's reign and England have looked rejuvenated under Jones, if still lacking a certain clinical edge.

The likes of Billy Vunipola and Chris Robshaw have flourished under the new??regime, while Saracens forward Maro Itoje has looked a star in the making during his short international career.
