The Porcupine Warriors were involved in a road accident on the Nkawkaw-Kumasi road last week Wednesday while on their way from Accra after a league game against Inter Allies.

The accident claimed the life of the deputy Equipment Officer of the Kumasi giants and several others suffered various degrees of injuries, including coach Steve Polack who was badly wounded and had to undergo surgery at the Komfo Anokye Anokye Teaching Hospital, Kumasi.

Steve Polack is in clutches and has just taken his first few steps after the leg surgery, so the management of the club have asked Ernest Appau, who is the head coach of the Kotoko youth team to take charge of the side in the interim.
