This new feature, fresh from Facebook's drawing board, will see active users on Facebook reading news feeds from their favourite dailies directly from their timeline.
Facebook came up with this new feature, to reduce the bounce rate on its site. Sources in Facebook say it loses money when people logout to visit other news sites.
To woo intending publishers, and get them interested in this new feature, Facebook has come up with an interesting proposition that will see the publishers keeping all the revenue from some selected ads.
This feature will help Facebook a lot, as links from these publishers will no longer direct visitors out of the social media site.
The publishing sites are expected to keep the revenue generated from the ads they sell or take 70% of the revenue, if Facebook launches the ads.
Sources say this proposition is a welcome development and a plus, for Facebook and the publishers, whichever way you decide to look at it.
