At least ten persons have been confirmed dead in a gory accident Monday night at Okyereko junction on the Winneba-Kasoa highway in the Central region.

Three vehicles were involved in the accident.

They are are a Hyundai commercial vehicle, a pick up and a Mercedes Benz.

According to eyewitnesses, the Hyundai vehicle on its way to Accra a tried to overtake an articulated truck and in the process collided with an ongoing Mercedes Benz and later hit the Toyota pick up which was heading towards the Cape Coast side of the road.

The driver and mates of the Hundai Grace as well as the driver of the Mercedez Benz lost their lives instantly with 7 passengers from the Hyndai Grace also dying on the spot.
