Eleven people have been killed and seven injured when a passenger bus ploughed into a stationary vehicle at Dikpa on the Bole-Bamboi Highway, the police have confirmed.

The accident happened on Sunday dawn, the Bole District Police Commander, ASP David Azuma, has said.
He told Accra-based Citi FM that the police have commenced investigation to establish the cause of the accident.
“We are now investigating. The minibus ran into a stationary vehicle. We are now investigating as to what caused the accident because the minibus driver is seriously injured and has been referred to the Wa government hospital for treatment,” he said.

“Seven people are currently on admission receiving treatment, and their conditions stable. They are responding to treatment."
