Steven Finn will miss the remainder of England's tour of South Africa after suffering a side strain during their third-Test win in Johannesburg.

Finn has impressed in the opening three Tests against the Proteas with his line, length and bounce, but he will sit out the final match due to this latest injury.

It is a blow for England, who had named Finn in their one-day and Twenty20 squads for the upcoming matches with South Africa.

He will be replaced by Liam Plunkett in both squads, with the Yorkshire seamer set to join up with his team-mates over the weekend.

Finn took three wickets as England charged to a seven-wicket victory inside three days at the Wanderers on Saturday, a win that secured a 2-0 lead with one Test to play.

He finishes the series with 11 wickets at 26.09, England's second highest wicket taker behind Stuart Broad.

The 26-year-old will now undergo rehabilitation in South Africa before returning to England in the hope of being ready for the ICC World T20 in March.
