The fire which gutted portions of the building affected part of the Regional Chairman’s office, windows and doors.

According to media reports, the timely intervention by persons living within the vicinity prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the building.

The Regional Minister, Alexander Ackon said evidence at the scene suggests that it was attempted arson and the case will be treated as such.
