The ban which took effect on Wednesday, August 17 will end on Sunday, September 18, 2016.

The Asogli State Council has announced a month’s customary ban on funerals in the state.

This was made known in a statement signed by the Secretary to the Council, Mr Stephen Tetteh.
The statement indicated that the ban was to pave way for preparations towards this year’s Asogli Yam Festival celebration in September.
It appealed to the public to observe the ban for a peaceful and successful festival.
