Three miners dead after inhaling toxic fumes

Three miners have died after they inhaled poisonous fumes from mining explosives at Gbani mining community in the Talensi District of the Upper East Region.

The miners were reported to have inhaled toxic gases from explosives used in the minerals prospecting activity.

Eight miners who were trapped in the mining pit are suffering various injuries have been rushed to the regional hospital for treatment.

However, the police have commenced investigations into the tragedy.

The bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the regional hospital for autopsy.
