Aduana Stars are on 4 points from 5 league games played thus far. Lost their first 3 games, but are unbeaten in their last 2, drawing 1 and losing 1.

The Dormaa lads have won 1 and drawn 1 in their 2 home leagues games. They were tagged as title favourites prior to the start of the league, but their home defeat to Wa All Stars, following an away loss on match day 2 and 1 respectively shocked football fans, due to the rich signings they did during the pre-season.

However, they are undefeated in their last 2 games including a point at Obuasi on match day 5 through Bright Adjei’s late acrobatic goal on the stroke of full time.

Aduana Stars reunited with their former coach Cioaba Aristica, after parting ways with Nurudeen Ahmed and has brought some stability to the team.

The CEO of Aduana Stars, Albert Yahaya Commey is optimistic that history would repeat itself by ensuring Kotoko’s winless run at Dormaa continues on Sunday, but added they will not underrate Kotoko, since they have what it takes to give them difficult moments.

This season Kotoko had to wait until match day 5 to fetch their first win of the season against Hasaacas, after having lost 2 and drawn two, which was their worst start to a league season, after 4 games, since 1974.

Everybody thought that their win against Hasaacas was the turning point of the David Duncan’s charges. However, fans got agitated after their idol club struggled to see off a 10-man 2 division side, AK Shion on penalty shootout in the FA Cup last weekend.

This has increased the pressure mounting on both Coach David Duncan and the management.

There have been several rumours linking disgruntled coach of Medeama, Tom Strand to Kotoko, making Duncan’s job unsecured, but the 2014 champions have rubbished such reports.

Meanwhile a section of the fans in the course of the week have threatened to stage demonstration against the Opoku Nti led management team of Kotoko and the Sunyani supporters have decided to sit out of their crucial game against Aduana Stars over comments passed by Ali Maradona, the Deputy Operations Manager against them.
