Hasaacas, went into the week four match on the heels of a disgraceful 5-0 defeat to WAFA at Sogakope.
It looked like Hasaacas were on course to win when Eric Bekoe converted a penalty in the 53rd minute.
The penalty itself was a decision Ashgold protested for about two minutes but referee Issaka Afful thought defender Kadri Mohammed handled Samuel Afful's attempted lob over.
And when Bekoe placed the ball at spot, he showed the calmness and confidence to score his third goal of the season. Seven minutes later, the former Ghana League top scorer was substituted following the effect of a head collision with Kadri Mohammed.
Kadri, interestingly was the player to cause the disappointment for Hasaacas when he jumped to head home a corner kick, two minutes to full time.
Before the late equalizer, assistant referee David Adjin had denied Ashgold 's Nuhu Fuseini a goal in the 65th minute. Adjin flagged Fuseini for an offside after the attacker tapped in a pass from Isaac Amoah into a yawning net.
The "Aboakese" players remonstrated with the referees in an appeal which was denied.
The match, entirely was boring as both teams played a substandard game. There were no exciting plays either from the teams or any show of individual brilliance from a player to thrill fans.
In the end, it was Hasaacas fans who left the Sekondi stadium dejected but not after some of them personally attacked coach Yusif Basigi with harsh words.
