Seth Opare and Awudu Nafiu have been cleared as free agents by the Status Committee of the Ghana Football Association, and they can now play for Asante Kotoko.

The duo were at the committee early Thursday morning over issues arising out of their engagement with their former clubs – Aduana Stars and Ashgold respectively. In a ruling on Thursday, the committee cleared both players of any wrongdoing.

Ashgold had actually written to the Committee absolving the player of blame concerning his move to Kotoko a few weeks back. With Seth Opare, Aduana Stars also confirmed that, the player had properly settled all issues with them and that he was free man.
Kotoko will open their 2017 camppaign when they host Liberty Professionals at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on February 12.
