The competition for the U-10 and U-15 athletes was held at the Essipon Stadium in Takoradi with over 200 athletes participating in a quest for selection.

10 athletes from the numbers were selected after intensive screening for the final of finals set to be held in Kumasi on Saturday, September 10 2016.

The second round of selection process will be done for the Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions of Ghana in Tamale. The event is scheduled to come off on Saturday, 18 June, 2016.
