Masters champion Danny Willett has joined the PGA Tour following his triumph at Augusta.

Willett won the green jacket after prevailing by three strokes earlier this month, the Englishman taking advantage of Jordan Spieth's quadruple bogey at 12 in the final round, which effectively ended the American's bid for back-to-back wire-to-wire wins.

And he will earn 600 FedExCup points from that triumph after joining the Tour, receiving a five-year exemption that runs through the 2020-21 season.

The world number nine's 44 non-member points from the Valspar Championship will become retroactive, taking his tally to 644 - good enough for 27th in the FedExCup standings.

Willett needs to be inside the top 125 of the rankings after August's Wyndham Championship in order to compete in the FedExCup play-offs.
