AC Milan will benefit from the signing of Kevin-Prince Boateng, the club’s chief executive Adriano Galliani has said.
The German-born Ghana international, who has also played for Hertha Berlin, Portsmouth and Tottenham Hotspur, joined Milan in 2010 before leaving for Bundesliga club Schalke three years later.
Boateng has not played since he was released by Schalke in May for what the German club said was a breakdown in trust between club and player.
Talking to MilanNews.it after Milan’s 4-2 victory to Frosinone, the Rossoneri CEOAdriano Galliani revealed that he believe the team will benefit from Kevin-Prince Boateng’s second spell at the club.
“Boa [Boateng’s nickname] is a great player. He can play everywhere in the middle of the pitch, he will be very useful for us.”
“I reckon we have a very important team, even if I don’t want to make any predictions for the future as it doesn’t bring good luck.”
“We have won two important games against Sampdoria and Frosinone, but we have a few regrets as we drew against Carpi and Verona in the previous two games. Talking about the Verona game, we should have awarded a penalty there. With four points more on the table, our campaign would be totally different.”
