Borna Coric-Delbonis final

Borna Coric will meet Federico Delbonis in the final of the Grand Prix Hassan II in Marrakech on Sunday.

Third seed Coric required three sets and more than three hours to dispatch 2007 winner Paul-Henri Mathieu in his quarter-final on Friday, but showed no signs fatigue as he dispatched of Jiri Vesely in straight sets a day later.

The 19-year-old hit a brilliant winner to claim the first set via a tie-break, but failed to maintain that momentum as he lost the opening three games of the second.

However, Coric showed great resolve to fight back against the Czech – who defeated number one seed Guillermo Garcia-Lopez in the previous round – and force a tie-break.

Despite failing to serve out match point, Coric was handed a place in his second ATP World Tour final with a 7-6 (7-5) 7-6 (7-5) victory when Vesely shot wide.

Fourth seed Delbonis produced four aces and won 26 of a possible 36 points off his first serve to book his place in the final at the expense of 35-year-old Albert Montanes.

It was not straightforward for the Argentine, though, who won just four points when returning the first serve of Montanes all match.

However, world number 47 Delbonis sealed the deal in straight sets 6-4 6-3 for a second win in as many meetings with the Spaniard, booking a place in his first final for over two years.
