Hannah Brown Just Responded To Jake Owen's Diss Track About Her, And It's Everything

Hannah took to social media to laugh about the whole thing. "Well, this is one way to get a song written about you. This is some catchy shade @jakeowen," she wrote on Twitter , linking out to Jakes song.

Hannah also went on her Instagram Stories where she talked about the song even more. "Dying right now," Hannah began the video, all smiles and laughs, before explaining that it was her mom(!) who first told her about the song. "...Its hilarious, and even though its like a diss at me the whole time, I was tapping my foot along to it and laughing. You need to check it out."

Hannah then continued to joke (or not joke?) about a possible collab with the musician and even worked in her own self-diss. "Jake, let me know when you need me for the music video," she said. "I will try to see if I can get my hands on some waterproof mascara, so don't worry about that, because I got that covered." (FYI: Hannah was notably wearing regular mascara during her tear-filled talk with ex/Bachelor Peter Weber on Monday.)

Jake explained on Twitter that he didnt set out to diss Hannah as a person, just her presence on reality TV. "Monday night, my girlfriend had the damn TV on and all you heard about on the new Bachelor was Alabama Hannah, it was just Alabama Hannah everywhere," he said on Twitter. "She wont go away."

Jake said he actually met Hannah on the last season of The Bachelorette, and that he likes Hannah. "Shes a cool girl. This is not even a dig at the actual Alabama Hannah," he said. Still, Jake said he felt for Bachelor star Peter Weber when Hannah said she wanted another chance with him, pointing out that people can relate when theyve given "somebody multiple opportunities to take you as a lover" and theyve been rejected. (ICYMI, Peter was third-runner up on Hannah's season of the Bachelorette.)

"This has nothing to do with the actual Bachelorette. This is just everyday life," Jake added.

Still, the lyrics are preeeeetty clear its about Hannah. "Alabama Hannah, what do you want? / If its love that you need, well then honey, its gone," Jake sings. "You had your chances, so wont you leave me alone. / Alabama Hannah, wont you go on back home."

And just in case you werent totally clear on who this is about, Jake continues with this: "I been out here in California, Ive been soaking up the sun / Theres lots of pretty ladies, and I cant pick just one. Im flying high, I got peace of mind, I already raised the bar / Now youre showing up here tonight, who do you think you are?"

After singing his song, Jake stressed again that hes not trying to hate on Hannah. "I love Hannah Brown, shes awesome. So its no diss on her," he said.
