The Californian might love the Arizona track but the winning margin was a close as it gets on??Sunday as he crossed the finish line just 0.01 second ahead of Carl Edwards.

Harvick and Edwards bumped and hit doors all the way to the finish line as they raced to what was the closest finish in the history of the Phoenix International Raceway.

Harvick had to work up into the lead from a starting position of 18th, taking the lead on lap 169 and becoming the fifth active driver to lead 9000 laps in his career just 11 laps later.

He was one of four drivers to lead laps during the race, with Kyle Busch starting in pole position.

Busch led the first 74 laps until Dale Earnhardt Jr overtook him to sit first for the??next 34, until Edwards eventually passed him before Harvick made his race-winning move.

Harvick now sits equal-top of the Sprint Cup Series standings alongside Busch on 154 points.??
