Ghanaian social media influencer and nurse Beverly Konadu, popularly known as Crazy Virgin, has opened up about her journey in the digital space and her relationship with some of Ghana’s well-known social media influencers.
Crazy Virgin, who is based in Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands, was born and raised in Kumasi, Ghana. She is professionally a nurse and has also built a following as a social media influencer.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Ekwaso Dwoodwoo on Okay FM, Crazy Virgin revealed that she began her social media journey on Snapchat, where she amassed a significant following by sharing content and offering her views on marriage and relationship-related issues.
In recent times, she has expanded her presence to TikTok, where she continues to create content and engage with her audience.
According to Crazy Virgin, she played a major role in grooming and promoting several individuals who later became prominent figures on social media, including Dulcie Boateng, the Mitch Brothers and Kwatema.
She disclosed that Dulcie Boateng and the Mitch Brothers were once among her close friends and associates before their relationships eventually fell apart.
Crazy Virgin further claimed that several of the influencers she helped groom and promote used to refer to her as “Queen Mother” and “Madam” because of the influence and support she provided during the early stages of their social media journeys.
When asked about the origin of her nickname “Crazy Virgin,” she explained that the name was deliberately chosen because she considered it attractive and believed it would easily capture people's attention.
Touching on her fallout with some of the influencers she previously had close relationships with, Crazy Virgin alleged that some of them became disrespectful after gaining popularity.
She said she cautioned and advised them not to forget the people who supported them and contributed to their growth when they were not yet popular.
Despite the disagreements and strained relationships, Crazy Virgin said she holds no ill will towards those she has fallen out with and wishes them well in their respective endeavours.
She also used the interview to make an appeal to the government to create more employment opportunities for young people after completing their education.
According to her, providing jobs for graduates would help ensure that people who spend years pursuing education have opportunities to earn a living and contribute to society.
