Indiana Jones has emerged the greatest movie character of all time, beating James Bond,Batman and The Joker in a poll  conducted by film magazine Empire.

The poll which had 10,000 voters chose the daring professor character who was first portrayed by Harrison Ford in Raiders of the Lost Ark, ahead of James Bond.

‘It’s not hard to see why he’s so beloved: handsome, heroic, capable, but he’s also got flaws — not only is he afraid of snakes, he also makes mistakes. You can relate to Indy. He’s human, not superhuman." - Morgan Rees, editor of Empire said.
