7 suspects with AK 47s transferred to Accra

Police have transferred the seven people who were arrested in the Northern region with rifles including two AK 47s to Accra for further investigations.

The Northern regional Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Ebenezer Tetteh has told Accra-based Joy FM, the suspects may be arraigned before court on Tuesday.

He added that the police is currently searching for one of the suspects who managed to escape.

“We are still pursuing him..While we have taken the rest to Accra, we’re intensifying our search for him,” he said.

Earlier reports indicated that the suspects had videos of Taliban in their possession.

The police is yet to comment on the matter.
