Inclement weather at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium saw the contest reduced to 12 overs apiece.

Bangladesh reached 94-2 from eight overs before the rain returned, with the wet weather and lightning in the area eventually forcing match officials to call an end to proceedings.

The abandonment means Ireland are eliminated, while Bangladesh now face a winner-takes-all clash with Oman - whose game with Netherlands also fell victim to the conditions - on Sunday to decide who progresses to the Super 10 stage.
