Former NBA player Jerome Kersey died Wednesday at the age of 52 from blood clot that formed in his calf and broke off clogging his lungs; a condition medically referred to as pulmonary embolism.

He is survived by wife, Teri Donnerberg Kersey and four children from previous relationships.
Jerome played for a number of NBA Clubs, most notably was Portland Trail Blazers where he spent 11 years from 1984 to 1995.
He won the NBA title in 199 with San Antonio Spurs and left for Milwaukee Bucks during where he spent the 2000/2001 season.
