Juventus have confirmed the news and are putting measures in place to isolate the Italy international defender Daniele Rugani to avoid a major outbreak in their team.
In a statement released on Wednsday evening, the club announced that Rugani has been diagnosed with the Coronavirus, but is currently asymptomatic.
“Juventus Football Club is currently activating all the procedures of isolation planned by the regulations, including a check on all those who had contact with him.”
The Italian Serie A has been suspended until April 3, but Juventus are to play Franch giants Olympique Lyon next week in the UEFA Champions League.
Juventus lost the first leg 1-0 and need at least two goals without a reply from their opponent to book their ticket to the quarter finals.
