The rugby league convert was absent from a Wallabies gym session on Monday and will play no part in the next two Tests against Eddie Jones' side, who hold a 1-0 lead after their 39-28 victory at Suncorp Stadium on Saturday.

Rob Simmons came off with a back injury in Brisbane, but the lock is set to return to training this week as he attempts to prove his fitness for the second Test in Melbourne on Saturday.

Winger Rob Horne is also expected to be fit for that match at AAMI Park despite suffering a concussion in the series-opener.

Australia have already lost David Pocock for the remainder of the series after the influential flanker fractured an eye socket during Saturday's defeat.
