Nigerian youth international Kelechi Iheanacho has revealed his eagerness for to get more playing time at Manchester City.
Iheanacho had a fantastic outing in pre-season, scoring in the game against FC Roma and also played in a friendly against Real Madrid.
In the game against Stuttgart, Iheanacho came on at half time to replace Wilfried Bony and scored in the 84th minute of the match.
After the impressive pre-season, the forward was officially promoted to the first team but has not been playing regularly ever since.
After making his official league debut for City in the last game against Watford, Iheanacho wants to play more.
“It’s been going great, I’ve been training with the first-team and the guys have been great with me and I’m really enjoying it,” Kelechi told City official website.
“It was a great feeling to make my debut against Watford. I was hoping to come on – the manager introduced me and I was very happy to come on.
“I’m hoping for more Premier League minutes – I have to work hard in training and then hopefully the manager will introduce me again so I can show what I can do.”
