Kotoko fan shot after crowd violence hit Baba Yara stadium

Angry supporters of the Porcupine Warriors were furious over decisions of the referee for what they described as poor officiating.

This led to some fans throwing stones and sachet water directed at the match officials.

The game was halted for several minutes on Sunday.

After the game, a fan also collapsed after he was reportedly shot by police with blood oozing out from his stomach area.

Kofi Owusu's early goal gave Berekum Chelsea 1-0 victory in a scrappy encounter at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.
