Players pocket GHC 4,000 after meeting Asantehene  on Tuesday

The owner and life patron of Kumasi Asante Kotoko met the playing body of the club on Tuesday to hear from them issues concerning their welfare and relationship with the management.

Kotoko poor start to the ongoing season’s league compelled management to ask the head coach David Duncan to step-aside fot his assistant Michael Osei to take charge of the team.

Otumfuo, who doesn’t want witnessing Kotoko go through series of crisis invited the leadership of the club on Monday to the Manhyia Palace address pertinent issues confronting the team.

The playing body who were not represented for confidentiality sack were given the opportunity to voice out their worries on a one on one basis with the Asantehene and some of his sub chiefs.

It would be recalled that on Monday David Duncan and Opoku Nti played a blame game when the board, management and technical team were invited to the Manhyia Palace and issues that came up concerning the welfare of the playing body were confirmed from them on Tuesday.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, following the meeting gave each player an amount of GHC 4,000 and took them for lunch as a motivation.
