CID chases NPP youth organiser over whatsapp threats against DCE

Desmond Asirifi alleged on a whatsapp platform "Information Centre" that the DCE with the help of NDC's defeated parliamentary aspirant for Abuakwa South, Alhaji Sanusi Mohammed were transporting fulanis to the constituency to register them ahead of the general elections.

The New Patriotic Party Youth Organiser for Fanteakwa North Constituency of the Eastern Region, Desmond Bempong Asirifi has been invited by the Fanteakwa Police CID to assist in investigations over an allegation he made against the Fanteakwa DCE, Abass Fuseini Sbaabe concerning the ongoing limited registration exercise by the Electoral Commission.

He threatened that the NPP will beat the DCE and his team if they try to bring the alleged fulanis into the constituency.

Speaking to the DCE, Abass Fuseini, he said he had reported the allegation by the NPP faithful to the police for investigations.

"Yes, l did but l have no response on the platform. Desmond made an allegation and l have asked the police to investigate. It is as simple as that" the DCE indicated.
